Salmonbones
I remember one reserve game where he was playing for us, and Nigel Martyn at the other end. Seemed weird seeing too merseyside legends in a Wednesday reserve game, with neither club being from liverpool.

Guest Gordo_Owl
I had a week trial as a GK at Wednesday when I was 16 when Grobbelaar was there. He only turned up one of the days and hardly did anything then. Pressman was quality though... was a beast training and really funny bloke! fpowl
Cant remember him playing in a game apart from what I thought was a pre season game. and if memory serves me correct he was only with us a few months at best on the bench it was well at the end of his prime
El Wednesday
Was it at the same time we were rocking Barry Horne as our "midfield general".....? When he played for us it was like there was a 'Barry Horne invisible forcefield' around the centre circle which wouldn't let him escape.

Although he did attempt to escape it by running like a crab in an attempt to fool the forcefield.
matthefish2002
Bruce Grobalaar was on bench for about 3 first team games but never got on. Was an emergency back up keeper and we had Nigel Clough on oan at same time. Wheels were coming off at the time under David Pleat and he got the boot a few weeks later. Jackie Sewell
My overriding memory is the Imre Varadi goal at Anfield when Varadi chased a long ball way out on our right touchline and who should appear but Grobbelaar, who missed his tackle leaving Varadi to hit the empty net from way out there. Incidentally, Sterland then got a late one for a great 2-0 win.
