BIG D
The old guy who sold The Star in front of The Kop? I was just looking at the Kaiserslautern video in the other section and noticed him - had a right flashback. What a character

Jackie Sewell
I do remember the guy who sold the Green 'Un up near the Hole in the Road, they were already printed by the time we had caught the bus back into town. Like all the street corner paper sellers he had a *** stuck to his bottom lip and shouted in what sounded like a foreign language.
ReadingOwl
I don't remember him. But I remember the bloke who used to walk up and down outside the Kop, on Penistone Road, with that really tall banner saying 'the World is Nigh'. Also, the disabled bloke who used to be in a 3 wheeled bath tub thing, used to peddle it with his arms up Halifax Road after the game.
BIG D
Some other characters I remember from when I was a young'un (probably around 1973). I used to stand behind the Leppings Lane net when we kicked towards that end and there was a black guy (he would have been coloured back then) who wore a beret and raincoat (bit like a black Frank Spencer). There was also a Father and Son combo who both had blonde hair and thick black glasses, the Dad usually wore a donkey jacket. Sorry the Green'Un guy was late 50s/ early 60s but I also remember the banner man, he must have got fed up of being let down by the guy upstairs, and I certainly remember the bath tub guy very well, in fact I remember most things Wednesday from the past 60 years.
