Prutton & Coke - Poor

Recommended Posts

Showed exactly why they couldn't get into our League 1 team today.

Very poor and I genuinely cannot of anything positive they did in the whole game.

They never got near the Forest midfield and didn't even get tackles in.

We are a million miles away from competing at the top end of this division and in 2 weeks time it looks as if we'll be back in the poo .

Right now I'd ****** your hand off for 2 points from the next 3 games.

They've done well to force their way back into the picture, but i still don't think they are the answer. Always gonna be McCabe alongside a new arrival for next season, in my opinion.

Not one of them wanted the ball ! Never carried the ball ! It was only Helan n Antonio attacking on the wings they can't do it all

Probably not going to be our long term pairing but they were overrun in the midfield by the Forest four. It's the same as it was earlier in the season, our central midfield pairing are constantly outnumbered and outmanoeuvred. Because it was constantly happening we decided to go for a more solid midfield four. Three games ago we changed back and we haven't looked anywhere near as comfortable.

They were up against a class Forest midfield tonight and couldn't compete. Sometimes you just have to acknowledge that the opposing players are better. No point slagging our boys off just because of that.

whilst I agree  we made it easy for them by going missing in presence (sitting too deep) and quality

we made reid look the player he can be if given space

I was watching a game with a mate.

"They've got 4 bookings, we haven't got any yet" he said.

Why? Because we couldn't get close enough to them to get a tackle in at all never mind commit a foul.

They moved the ball too quickly for Coke and Prutton at times, and their three central midfielders who were pushing on (Reid, Lansbury and Majewski) got into that space in between Coke/Prutton and our centre halfs in the first half and made us pay.

They were throw today, midfield was where we lost the game,

Would love a player like Guedioura or whatever his name is though, that's the next step up for us

One poor game and the knives are out. Oh dear.

Prutton and Coke have been superb since they've come back and now they get overrun by probably the best midfield we've seen at Hillsborough all season and now they're average and useless.

For me Prutton was poor today and Coke was anonymous but it's harsh to suggest they're just League One players, when just last week the majority of Owls fans were singing their praises.

Gueidoiora, Reid and Majewski are Premier League class, some of the best players we've seen here all season btw.

Back down to earth I'm afraid.

It's nice to get carried away with ourselves when 2 players come in from the cold and do alright for a month or two but Prutton and Coke are only ever a game away from being completely insufficient for this level of football.

If we have genuine aspirations in this league we have to do better in the summer.

They were poor because they were made to look poor!

It didn't help with only 2 of them in there!

I thought it was crying out for Mcabe to come on and get his foot on the ball!

Coke and Prutton had no chance againt Lansbury, Cohen, Reid and Majewski.

Then again Prutton was shocking, first half all he did was give them the ball straight back!
