Would you prefer Hillsborough to be closer to town?

Much talk lately on here of doing something with the Don Valley site etc, now I don't think that would be a good idea at all, however I would prefer our ground to be closer to town. It would be easier transport links. just off M1, you could walk from the station to the ground. Better places to drink. I also see one of the benefits is that it would be closer to Rotherham, in my opinion of the place there are more Wednesday fans there than Rotherham fans, so I really believe we would get more fans coming due to easier transport links and being closer to the Wednesday areas not in Sheffield! Just a thought. UTO

Its 3 miles FFS !!!

It's on the tram route

Its on the A61 with the choice of 3 routes to the M1

Its on the better side of the city next to a great park.

There are plenty of choices to drink from dodgy dives to traditional real ale pubs

Its 2 a minute walk to Daarrbaaaaars for a cheap curry

Also take your pick from Chips, Kebabs, McDonalds, KFC, Pizza hut, Chinese or a Jacket Spud

Its not far enough from bag of poo down town bumhole lane

should i go on?

The trip from the city centre to the ground is part of the matchday experience. A lot of away fans I've spoken to (NOT the kind of idiots who start pointless arguments on forums..) like visiting our ground and it's location is part of that.

If you need to be closer to M1 you shift the ground up to Greno or High Green, not town

IF someone came along with so much money he had to waste a huge amount moving the ground...

the more obvious choice would be to move up the a61...

traffic will always be a problem at s6, and a ground nearer the m1 with ample parking would be the way forward, but at such a price...
