satellitekid
Was dropping my son at a half term football training camp at Woodley Sports ground last week and bumped into ROD. He told me he had been sent out on loan to Stockport County. Thought he might get a chance to shine at Chesterfield but seems to be heading the wrong way down the leagues. Hope things work out for him.
Chriss
Genuinely thought he'd stay at wednesday and become a good second rate keeper, then he left.. Wasn't that bad was he?
Orlando_Trustful
He seems to sadly be like many keepers at SWFC that come through at an early age, have a little flirt with the first team, then disappear off the face of the earth.
Spondon Owl
Blimey... He was never ever going to be what some people on here thought he would be, but he had good reflexes and had an ability to make himself big... Shame. But having said that keepers don't peak until they are in their late 20's so i wouldnt write him off just yet.
eckington owl
Shame really. My uncle's a Chesterfield fan and says ROD was decent when called upon, although he made a couple of silly mistakes that cost them points. Expected from a young lad though. The only reason he got a run in the first team was because their number 1 Tommy Lee was injured.
Guest wilyfox
the step from understudy to no.1 is huge. Jameson will face the same challenges - and O'Donnell was the fitter of the two. being a 'keeper might be the toughest position to make a breakthrough, facing long spells without any action at all. philby
Tommy Lee at Chezzie is reckoned to be a good goalie. Just wrong place and time maybe. Wish ROD well. Edited February 24, 2013 by philby

mrgund
He was always going to be understudy to Tommy Lee. They literally worship Tommy Lee and he is a good goylie to be fair. They want ROD match fit just in case Tommy Lee gets injured again, they will no doubt have a 24-hour recall clause in place and ROD would be in the sticks again if Tommy Lee got injured on a night out or on the football pitch.
