Dave Jones - absolutely brilliant manager

Recommended Posts

I hope he stays for the next 20 years like Alec Ferguson at Man United

He's done some great things for us already and is settled into Sheffield Wednesday well now

Bringing Madine on to win the game was genius

I'm liking Dave Jones - I think he's got class and knows what he's doing

The way he's turned things around when fans were yelling for him to go is a sign of his quality

Credit to Jones, he has responded to our earlier problems and made us much harder to beat. I don't think anyone can claim our good run of late has been an expression of the beautiful game, there has been a lot of scrappyness, but it has all made a result like today's, i.e. against the odds, possible.

Some fans ought to be shifting very awkwardly in their seats in this thread.

Why ?

Because they ( I ) were not happy with the way we were playing, chopping and changing, and losing, not to mention well in the bottom three ?

The abuse was uncalled for but the criticism was not at the time.

Credit where it's due, and I and others like me have acknowledge this, he has turned it around and we look like having a good end to the season.

I am just happy a thread such as this is being posted at this stage of the season, says it all.

I don't see why. I wanted him out and he deserved to go at the time (after the Bristol City defeat).

If anyone is saying that they knew we were going to go on this run then I simply don't believe them.

Well done Milan for keeping the faith and well done Dave Jones. I couldn't be more delighted

Spot on.

But the usual suspects will hover round this thread saying I told you so

I'm f*cking delighted he has proven me wrong.

And MM deserves credit for sticking by him as well.

You've sort of answered your own question.

Not agreeing with his decisions, being upset with our results and so forth is perfectly reasonable. Who can be happy when you've lost 7 games in a row and are next to bottom of the table? But some of the personal abuse, fairy tales and downright lies he was subjected to were a matter of the utmost shame for some hysterical loudmouths.

My sentimets exactly Mort.

Some of the diatribe posted on here over the first half of the season was pathetic.

However, some sort of understanding is allowed, that run was worse than barren, it was depressing.

I never questioned Jones' ability to get us through it once, it was a matter of time before the corner was turned, and we've turned it.

Yeah what was it you said? You hate him more than Irvine? Im not surprised he proved you wrong when you form opinions like that.

Check out one of the threads I started ' we won't get relegated'  I posted this when we were at the bottom of the table whilst everyone was screaming DJ out and we are doomed and gonna get relegated.  I still stand by everything I have said to this date!!
