Guest Sheff Owl
This guy gave both our CB's a torrid time today, we just couldn't knock him off the ball when he had it, we tried but the guy just kept pushing them off. He was quite clever too (Maybe Clough's work), knew that he wouldn't really beat Llera/Gardner in the air so he stood nearer Buxton when they took a goal kick or a long free kick. I get the impression some Derby fans don't really rate him that much, i didn't think he was amazing today but did a good job and certainly wouldn't like to face him every week. As for Jamie Ward - W*nker.
owls maniac
Jamie Ward is a tail but unfortunately is also a pretty decent player. No shame in getting a point against them today.

Kopparberg
He's a huge bloke. We lost out to him plenty of times today. Not a bad footballer either. Good for this level.

Majestic
Definitely one of their better players today. Pains me to say it but ward played well too. Help by the fact of course that we have them all the time in the world to control the ball/pick a pass!
TheBoyBeevers
Ward and Sammon are a great combination and played off each other really nicely. And their first goal was class tbf as well- flooded the midfield with a surge of bodies and ripped through us with ease. They'll trouble plenty of defenders in the future. bradowl
Ward's always been a decent player but is injury prone.

Ronnie Starling
Wards movement was very good today in the first half and caused us problems by playing in between our midfield and defence.

You could have said the same thing about O'Grady though (same sort of player really) and yet he was frequently worshipped as a God like figure on Owlstalk. vulva
Movement is the key. Our midfielders look up, and have no target. If Jones persists with 1 upfront it should be Wickham, not Lita. Otherwise the ball will just keep coming back.
full fathom five
Conor Sammon was a real handful in the first half but i felt that we got to grips with him and Derby in the second half as we closed them down quicker and made that extra effort to give our team mates an option when in possesion. Jürgen Weißbrot
Jamie Ward fits into the category of little jumped up wan-krs that I absolutely despise! others include - Kevin Phillips, Billy Sharpe, David Heally, Stephen Quinn, Dennis Wise, Michael Tong Not sure why I have a problem with these teeny tiny cv'ntz. These horrible, vile, disgusting shiitstainz with huge chips on their shoulder. But not so much with normal sized humans. I can't put my finger on it. Ironman
Sammon was quality today, was a real handful. I despise that little pr1ck ward. When he was celebrating like that in front of the kop I felt an violent rage come over me and I nearly ran down there and stuck one on him. I reckon chinning Jamie ward would be worth taking a ban for.
SallyCinnamon
Jamie Ward is definitely one of the best players in the division. If he could stay fit he'd be playing in the Premier League.
