18 with a bullet, on the move.

Recommended Posts

Got my finger on the trigger an' I'm gonna pull it...but it's inaccurate am afraid to say...it used to mean 'straight in at number 18'...we're actually one of those songs that grows through word of mouth...creeping up on the outside rail....sooo many analogies lol

Used to be a Top of the Pops saying from the likes of dare I say it Jummy Saville and another weirdo Tony Blackburn. "In with a bullet at number 1" in rough translation from nowhere to number 1.

i thought it was more about something that shot straight in the charts and it was destined to get higher quickly

Used to be the way they did the Pop charts in USA. If your single had a bullet next to it (regardless of position), it meant it was selling strongly and forecast to move up the next week. Simples.
