Our Link with Manchester City

Recommended Posts

I had an email exchange with my Man City mate yesterday. I asked him who they were looking to loan out, and who'd be worth borrowing. This was his reply in case you're interested.....

Lopes is considered to be one of the real prospects at the club. he's only just 17 but made his debut coming on as a sub and scoring against Watford last month, becoming City's youngest ever FA Cup goalscorer in the process.

Reece Wabara is another good'un supposedly, but he has just joined Blackpool until the end of the season. There's a young striker called George Evans who has been on the bench a few times, so he must be highly rated and there's a defender called Karim Rekik who has played a couple of times for the first team and looks very assured. These latter two quite often make the bench though, particularly Rekik, so they may not be readily available on loan.

I like the look of Helan and I know he's highly thought of by Mancini, Platt and Co. City also reported something about Jones and his team spending the day at our training ground and discussing stuff with Mancini etc, so maybe we are looking to use Wednesday as a finishing school for promising youngsters. With the money being spent on our academy, you could do a lot worse!

I think we can forget those two. Those moves only happen in Owlstalkers' heads.

It'll be their young lads we help bring on.

Man City are the heaviest investors in young talent in the Premiership, DJ has played a blinder here if they're going to send them all to us to bring them on.
