canyoujust
Greatest day of my wednesday following life....great support, great songs and a fantastic team....happy days! Little did I think then and in 93 that we would then see a 20 year slide into non premier leaaue oblivion!!
DJMortimer
What was our other shot on target? In the statistics I remember, both teams hit the target just once each. Ours went in and theirs was spectacularly saved by Turner.

Just watched this - that save from Turner was fantastic - good job Woods wasn't in the net! God I feel old - Les Sealy looks like a boy and I thought what an old bugger he looked at the time
DJMortimer
Didn't Worthington have a shot in which Les Sealey got injured? He was proper raging at the physio wasn't he?

matthefish2002
He was proper raging at the physio wasn't he? Was no surprise when he had a heart attack his blood pressure must have been through the roof! Remember also when Jemson scored v. Villa and went barmy at ref for allowing it. DoctorG
Great day out. On the way back to Sheffield we realised there was no hope of making it back to the pub for closing time. We persuaded the coach driver to turn off at a junction around Leciester, and found an empty pub 100 meters from the junction. The landlord had his best takings for a sunday night!! TaxiMark
The best Wednesday moment ever was when Pearson held the cup up, we had finally won something since 1930 odd! Great days and great times, only If Ron hadn't walked out on us, we won have won the League, no kidding that's how good that side were that Ron made. Can't believe Les Sealey died 10 years after that final at the age on 43!

goodytheowl
One of the great memories of that day was Lawrie Madden flying (!) down the right wing in the last couple of minutes and the roar it created. Brings a tear to the eye! Oh happiest of happy days!

I still think to this day that if he had stayed he would have improved that squad a little and we would have won the title. Ya never know.
Eightace
You just couldn't have a team like that now in the championship because you'd have to sell most of them after being relegated. That season was the best i'll ever experience. Football was in a much better state then when it was good managers that made the difference and not money.
