shandypants
It looks like we could be bringing a few loan players in. Is the "only 5 loan players on the field" rule still in place? I'm not being sarcastic; I'm just interested to know. Edited January 30, 2013 by shandypants
Guest wilyfox
I thought it was 4?
alanharper
Yes. Unless you're Watford, ridiculously overseas loan players don't count towards the five.

rob_owl_92
On the FL website.52.3.1 A maximum of 5 loan Players (Standard, Emergency or Youth) can be named in the Players listed on a team sheet for any individual match played under the auspices of The League. This figure shall include any additional loan of a goalkeeper approved by the Executive under the provisions of Regulation 54. http://www.football-league.co.uk/regulations/20110629/section-6-players_2293633_2125731#

Not 100% sure but think it was something along those lines
Sinner
Think the youth loans don't count towards the number of loans you can make in a season.
POWP
Yes. Unless you're Watford, ridiculously overseas loan players don't count towards the five. Is it overseas players? I thought it was more to do with the fact that clubs had the same ownership, and the players were all part of the same system? As in they could easily temporarily transfer players between the clubs for no money if they wanted.
