Chelsea away, think it was late 80's maybe early 90's, on the open away end, lost 4 nowt and pissed it down all game.

Soaked to the skin and the most unpleasant bus ride home.

Guest Harry the Owl

Some Asian lads tried robbing me and my mate in early hours on abbydale road with a knife, after a long yet successful mid week mission to watch quarter final of league cup against Wimbledon in 93', they tried and failed.

On a school night as well !!

Racist.

Tottenham away lost 2-0. Was a midweek night match and some Chelsea fans bricked our coach window. Was the window at our seats. Was a long cold wet winter journey home. Not sure what year but Hoddle and Falco scored for them.

Under Turner away to Stockport, we lost 1-0 the team included the likes of Dean Smith, Adam Proudlock, Robbie Mustoe, Del Geary, Steve Haslam, Guylain Ndumbu-Nsungu et al.

Rickie Lambert scored a thunderbolt past a very ageing KP, I was sat bang inline with it behind the net. It hail stoned that day, we were uncovered, then train got delayed on way home.

As a result of the defeat we dropped to 17th in league one, and Turner blamed the Wind, and bobbly pitch. I was distraught.

Early 80's. Some mates played for Wednesday supporters club in what I think was called the Anglo Welsh League. Wherever Wednesday were playing on the Saturday our supporters team played the opposition supporters. This was at Chelsea who played at Walls Ice Cream sports ground. We were down there at about 8.30 and while the lads played, the rest of us sat in the club house getting p1ssed. The time got round to about 2pm and one of the Chelsea lads told us we'd never make it to the Bridge in time, but he could come on the coach and take us a short cut. He took us to Stamford Bridge, stopped the coach and told us the ground was at the end of this particular street. We didn't know that the street was a dead end, and at the end where we'd got off the coach was a pub on either corner, full of Chelsea fans. This kid who'd taken us to the ground then simply went into both pubs and told them there were about thirty Wednesday fans walking down the road. Some of us managed to leg it, but those of us who'd been boozing since 8.30 got a real leathering. We lost the game (I think Clive walker scored) and the hang over started to kick in half way through the second half. There was also West Wam away in, I think 1981, with hundreds of skins in green bombers and Doc Martins, lined up down both sides of the road, chanting "seig heil, seig heil". We were kept inside the ground for an hour after the game, and there were still thousands waiting outside for us. That was fairly interesting. Scary, but funny was taking shelter in a  chapel of rest at Plymouth in the late 70's. Them were 't days.

Went to Exeter in the snow couple of years ago after staff night out. Worst hangover ever after 3 hours sleep. Got down there, lost 6-1, got back to car, flat tire. Driver had no spare in boot, no garage had to spend the night.

Decided to goto Torquay for a hotel and see the fawlt towers hotel, all was going to be alright.

Got there, the fawlty towers hotel had burned down a decade or so before and was in fact in Buckinghamshire or somewhere throw, nowhere near.

Fooling freezing, heartburn and terrible hangover = beer wouldn't got down, had to drive back from Torquay the day after about 40 mph all the way home cos of snow. Got near to Sheffield and realised I'd left my iPod in hotel. Arrived back in Sheff around 8pm Sunday night. :-(

Hundreds, over many many years. One that sticks out recently was the 3-2 defeat at the Lane a few years back. When they went 3-0 I thought they were going to get 14, and I felt sick.

Drawing 3-3 at Derby a few years back, when leading 3-1 going into injury time.

Losing to Brighton in the FACup semi.
