Guest Distraught!
Right now, I'm tempted to say the scrappy win at Barnsley that kind of kickstarted this revival. I cannot overstate in my mind how important it is for us to stay up this season. In my opinion, it is pivotal to the way things go for the development of the club. We needed that win desperately. senwar
Quite a hard question that one. Have to say for important, Brentford away last season definitely ranks up there. As does Leicester away when we were virtual certs to go down. I suppose I'll always go back to the Rumbelows cup final though. Kopparberg
Beating Man U to lift the cup. Beating the grunters at Wembley. Beating the grunters at the lane for the first time in years was pretty good. It had been too long.

Wolfmanjack
They're all important, but for me, having been watching Wednesday at Hillsborough since the late 1950's, and attending aways since the mid 60's, the most important win was at the Millenium in 2005. It was a close run thing between that game and the '66 semi at Villa Park when we beat Chelsea.

Pastor Kidneys
Carlisle last season was up there. But for me the Blackburn away game in '80 was best.

In the now that was the vital one, the past is in the past and some games were great, the now is what matters, IMHO.

Ever the pessimist
For importance, 26/12/79. Turned our fortunes round (and happily enough, theirs) for the next decade. There s an argument that without it we would not have had 1991-1993. Although i am now dealing in counter factual historical hypothesising, which is fun but pointless

WatfordOwl
The most recent would have to be the game against the Blades last season.....completely turned our season around with the run we went on from there....gave us impetus and belief to pip them at the last. Stand out one for me is the against Hartlepool down at the Millenium, we could have gone in a completely different direction to where we are now if it had gone against us that day. I didn't relax the whole game until we'd got 4-2 in front and typified everything there is to following Wednesday within 90 mins.....drama.
