Giles Coke

Recommended Posts

Excellent today, Excellent since coming back into the team. Strength, not afraid toput a foot in, composed and most importantly, ability to run and drive the team forward. Well done dj and coaching team to push him back into the team. Well done coke for grasping your chance with both hands.

Great away day. As good as the hull one!

Think Coke may get a new contract if he continues like this.  Not sure Prutton will though as I think DJ will think there will be better out there for free in the summer.

Coke was the forgotten man.

Exiled by the last manager who made him the scapegoat for our form before arrived.

So glad he is finally getting the chance that he deserves at the level he deserves to play at.

Anyone with a pair of eyes could see he was a player. Only the megson loyalists would spout the bad attitude/ not good enough mantra.

His attitude was a bit suspect tbh - few loan spells in the division below at tin pot clubs probably cured that and he realised its his last chance at this level to make an impact.

Good to hear! No doubt that Coke has the ability, he's probably our best attacking midfielder when he's playing like this. He proved last season when he went out on loan to Bury what a good player he was, too good for League One level and now adjusting nicely to this level. The only thing I've questioned with Giles is his confidence, and how much it can drop. But then again being moved out of position and treated like s*it can't do it much good can it?

Sorry I disagree.

It was Megson who suggested he had a bad attitude. He was treated appallingly by him.

I've always liked Coke.

He was sent off at Tranmere in one of Megson's first games and that seemed to be it for him under Megson.

When Jones came in he was already on loan at Bury so he probably never had a look at him.

Great to see him back in the fold and playing well
