whatdial
Is it just me being a selfish Wednesday fan by wanting Bradford to lose the final so we retain our record as the last team outside the top league to win a trophy? grlj
Everything must come to an end and at least it would be another Yorkshire team doing it. Plus can you imagine the stick Chelsea or Swansea would take if they lost in the final to league 2 side. Just a shame they would be robbed of playing in Europe if Chelsea win it. savi
I'd like to see them win it but just can't see past a Swansea 5-0 scoreline.
snaykz
I'd be pleased for them - it gives hope to every football league team that they can win a major trophy. I get the feeling though that swansea or chelsea will win the final comfortably.
sten
I'd absolutely love City to win it. When the big nobs are dismissing these Cup competitions it always makes me laugh when they're scrambling about at the end of the season wondering why they haven't won 'owt. ash60s
Sentimentality and all that BUT we have the record and I'd like us to keep it sorry Banthams Oh yeah and football wise it'll be won by Swansea or Chelsea (sic)
edinburghowl
It's sad to see so many Wednesday fans and Yorkshiremen so bothered about a meaningless record. I'm only an adopted Yorkshireman from Yorkshire stock but it's Bradford and Yorkshire all the way for me. testicles to Swansea and the Premier League. owler66
we enjoyed a great day out 20 odd years ago lets not deny that to another set of supporters just for a meaningless record. and what bradford have been through, they deserve it.
Leofric
1990 Cardiff Arms Park.Hereford United - Welsh FA Cup winners. Last English team to be banned from European Competition - because we're not sheeepshagggers. Not fair - we did them all so we should've entered Europe. M Royds
I'm easy either way. Bradford have had hard times and their fans have suffered greatly, admin X 2, relegation, being next door to Leeds, Bradford fire.. Swansea were the bottom of the Football league this time ten years ago. In those ten years they have rebuilt the club and gone from strength to strength (Hulley, Allen, Addy, Grierson etc should take note on how a football club should be run). For me, they are both proper football clubs, as opposed to brands, with proper fans. Goods luck to both of them. edinburghowl
Would you feel the same if it were the blunts or dirty leeds representing Yorkshire? No. I'd be cheering on Swansea against either of those pair. I have no ill feeling towards Bradford. I'd probably even prefer Barnsley, Rotherham, Huddersfield and Donny to Swansea too. PeteG_1984
Whatever the outcome we'll either have a welsh team representing England in Europe or a league 2 (maybe 1 next season) in Europe. Mental But well done to both
Pompeyowl
I thought the same before last night, hence why I wanted Chelsea to win. Now it's England vs Wales and I rrreeeeaaalllllllyyyyy hope Bradford keep up their giant killing exploits and smash the Taffs.
Guest pops55
You have to remember Swansea will be up for this, they will be creating history as they have never won a major trophy, this is their first cup final, even Bradford have won the cup 1911 i think. League Cup runners up don't get a place in Europe, whoever wins it. If Chelsea had progressed to the final and won it, the European place would go to the next best placed Premiership team. oh_weds_we_love_you
Can Swansea actually qualify for Europe? Aren't they still ruled by the welsh FA and therefore can't represent us in Europe. Wasn't this issue brought up when Cardiff got to the final t'other year? Can't remember the outcome!
