OllieOwl
Think Jones made his sub 10 mins to late for me. And feel he took the wrong man off. Has anyone else realised his need to keep Antonio on when hes looking fatigued? Needs to give Madine a chance infront of jj for a long period. SallyCinnamon
Madine looked sharp when he came on, we were running out of ideas with Antonio up top, Madine offered us something different and I reckon we would have grabbed one if he came on 10 or 15 minutes earlier. Antonio is immune to getting subbed, he should have gone off not JJ.
KivoOwl
Thought it was the right time. If anything, I would have left it, we were doing well enough,
Paul G Wisbech Owl
I don't think Madine has been given enough time this season, Jones has preferred Bothroyd and Sidibe, Bothroyd's record 1 in 14, Sidibe 1 so far, not really very good. I think once Madine starts to score it will go on, but he needs a decent run to get him going, and an odd few minutes or an odd match is not really helping his confidence any. OllieOwl
Alright we dominated for Antonio looked drained. Think JJ had a bit more in him in the circumstance. Thought Madine with slightly more playing time would have sparked a massive chance from somewhere. Alright we dominated for Antonio looked drained. Think JJ had a bit more in him in the circumstance. IWEDFM
It sounded like he could have won it for us late on I will be gutted if we sell Madine cos I still think given a longer run in the side he'll come good
DamnedOwl
Is he actually fatigued though, or does he just look like it? I remember last week fans were saying we should take Antonio off because he's looking shattered - only for him to run half the length of the pitch and score in the final minutes. OllieOwl
Good point damned but if you watch him early on he cant stop moving, he never gives himself a rest and cant pace himself. Either that or he is on speed.
Herb
JJ was cramping up a bit. He'd been stretching out and had taken on one of those gel things to try and prevent further cramp. Not sure whether that affected the decision though as he seemed to be coping fine by the time he went off.
Blueblood
I think Antonio should have made way too. I think JJ had more to offer and Antonio missed a few good chances. I can't help thinking JJ has one of them worldly strikes due.
Guest Big Mama's House
Typical of our fans to find SOME fault with Jones after a promising display. Get off the guy's back. Got the subs right for me. With a few knew players we'll be pushing for a midtable spot, possibly even playoffs. If Jones brings the right one's in this time that is.... No Uniform
Jj was exhausted and had pretty much given up by the point he was subbed
Chriss
Thought Madine on for JJ was spot on, Madine looked like he wanted it too.. bringing him on earlier was definitely needed but ah well. Just remember antonio took that big knock, maybe he should have gone off... But for goodness sake dont let JJ shoot again!
Guest chuckie4570
Madine fell over as usual when anybody went within 2 feet of him. Maybe if he stood up a bit more he mite make a few chances or score the odd goal
BenitoCarbone
It was the right man both in an out. I just wish he would have dared to do more... Maybe give Maguire a chance?
BIG D
We looked like a team with a proper shape for the first time all afternoon as soon as GM came on. Should have been on way earlier. Madine fell over as usual when anybody went within 2 feet of him. l You've made that up haven't you?
Herb
Madine went over once on the halfway line, North Stand side and won a free kick.
Stoop
Was it just me or did madine look a stone or so heavier yesterday. He must have been ont weights
WayneTheOwl
JJ was knackered after putting a right shift in. Madine looked ok when he came on. DJ got it right again yesterday, just lacked the finishing touch, on another day it would have been a comfortable 3-0 victory. Encouraging signs again for us. An extra 2 points would have given us some breathing space for the time being.
edinburghowl
Jones obviously doesn't rate our strikers that much in this divison, neither do I but that's irrelevant. I think JJ had run his race and after being booked it was probably the correct decision to take him off. We need to sign some quality up front in this transfer window to give us more options.
