Now Jones will be scared

Recommended Posts

One of the many arguments to keep Jones in was the lack of other good solid managers that were unattached. It was this that was possibly saved Jones when he went on that dreadful run. Now though with Nigel Adkins looking for a job another poor run could see Jonesy gone.

...and I truly believe that there is some amongst us who are secretly willing that bad run to happen. Sad, but true.

His job was never in doubt in the first place, what's with all the outlandish presumptions?

He got us promoted, granted we had a woeful spell from september to november, but that was just it, a bad spell.

Chill

We're still paying Megson.

If we sack Jones, he won't be paid off, he will be kept on gardening leave.

If we employ another manager, that's 3 on the payroll.

I like Adkins, but it's not going to happen.

Just a bloke, who used up all his luck in one go when he met his wife.

The only thing I'm willing is for Milan to blow the dust of that wallet of his and start bringing in the quality that he has promised that is yet to appear.

I'd love it...but, it aint gonna happen.

Top of the form league but 1 place above relegation. I'd prefer to be top of the league and bottom of the form league then where we are now. Jones might be sh**ting himself.

There's promising signs that we're improving though.

Jones deserves the opportunity to follow through with our recent improvement in form.

Let's give him the chance.

Has to be one of the harshest sackings that have taken place in recent years.

Back to back promotions and they were just coming good.....replacing him with a manager no-ones heard of must be a real kick as well.

There'll be a few clubs that would welcome him as manager.....I back DJ but he would be a very good replacement if we do get into the position of looking for someone

It's a disgusting move by Southampton to sack Adkins, he has done a fantastic job there and now won't even get to see a full season in the Premiership out, which he deserves at the very least.

It's almost equally as disgusting that Jones is going to have fans breathing down his neck itching for him to trip up again so we can all frantically call for Adkins to get the job and once again not give a Manager time ad build this Club, rather than a constant quick fix.

Jones took over and saw this Club over the line in getting promotion, he's got us top of the form table over a busy Christmas period and looking to climb further up the League and consolidate, where realistically, all of us would take survival in the League for this season.

I wish we could just get on and back the manager and players until the end of the season.
