adamb1253
It's a good job JJ (pictured right) took evasive action, or he could've been badly damaged
torryowl
20 years ago it would have been a great tackle ....but how it is nowadays he should have gone.
Guest Fulham Fox
Agreed. Far worse that Kompany's against Arsenal yesterday, but that just shows the lack of consistency. (short rendition of poo refs song)
barn_owl
I think what saved him was the fact that JJ didnt make a meal of it.

SWFC_Liam
Really poor tackle, if JJ hadn't moved out of the way he'd have been set for a long injury lay off. I know we can say that 20 years ago it's a great tackle, but the games moved on and those types of tackles are proven to be dangerous. Should have been a straight red. Anlaby Owl
From what I saw 1 foot was up, the other more or less sliding along the ground and the leg bent so it (the second foot) wouldn't have made contact with any force. By the letter of the law it was a two footed attempt at a challenge but I suspect this wasn't the intention. Having said that if jj hadn't jumped out of the way it could have been dangerous. For me it was no more than a yellow, if more contact had been made I would have a different opinion
nevthelodgemoorowl
Next question is...Should JJ have rolled around on the ground screaming like a ***** on heat ?

Skyline
Next question is...Should JJ have rolled around on the ground screaming like a ***** on heat ? No, I'm glad he didn't. Infact, I'm surprised JJ didn't get sent off him self, we all know he's a bit hot headed, he could easily have jumped up and grabbed hold of Faye! ash60s
Mind you had Faye been sent off, everyone in the world would have said we only won cos against 10 men and that would have robbed us of our little bit of glory
