More of those performances and 'we're' fine.

Thought it was a fantastic performance last night. Regardless of how Hull City performed you can only beat whats in-front of you and from start to finish I thought the performance was top notch and one which was deserving of the three points. As I've said in the subject title, if Dave Jones can get performances of that ilk throughout the remainder of the season then the club shall be fine. Granted, the problem might be at home where the onus is on ourselves to make the break through, but lasts nights set up was a master stroke to be honest. Has Jones tried that often? They could not deal with the pace of JJ and Antonio on the counter and really, the scoreline was perhaps flattering.

The back four were solid. I don't think I've seen Lewis Buxton have a bad game. I've been critical of Llera but I thought he was solid last night alongside Gardner which appears to be the norm for him reading on here, and equally Reda Johnson had a 'decent' game although he looks slightly suspect against wide midfielders which are agile and carry a bit of pace. Regardless of that, it was a solid defensive performance from the team. The back four were supported very well by those in-front which helped to nullify any Hull City attack and then with the pace of JJ and Antoinio, the counter attack was always a worry. Special mention to Giles Coke who I thought had a solid game in the middle and was denied a legitimate goal. I haven't seen much of Kieran Lee either but I was impressed with his performance, his ability to want to get forward and support the attack, and equally get back to defend for his team. The quick pressing was also something I was fond of as it limited the amount of time Hull were allowed on the ball. Another clean sheet is signs of defensive improvement, and 13 points from the last 18 I think the stat is, is also promising and one which hopefully continues in that vein of form.

I was expecting the worse when Hull equalised but thankfully the character within the squad rose to the front and credit to Dave Jones, his coaching staff and the side on an excellent away performance which I'm sure has lifted spirits amongst the supporters. I'm not even going to depress myself talking about the referee, the game was won and that's all that matters.

More of those, and we're staying up.

Reda can look clumsy at times Liam mate...but he also causes bloody chaos in the opposition box and his enthusiasm far outweighs his sometimes awkwardness...

Was so surprised to see Coke trot out....pity about that shoddy decision...

what happened to your mob?...thought they were home and dry...hit the bar twice too!

I'm not going to ruin the positivity in the matchday section by talking about our collapse of epic proportions yesterday.

I've explained it in our thread. Thankfully, the Owls lifted my mood slightly.

You would be surprised at how the misfortunes of others can make an Owls fans heart lighten mate...lol

What did you think of Fayes tackle on JJ Liam?

Stonewall red card. Regardless of what minute it happened in.

What made it worse was that he wasn't even booked for it! Yet some players are penalised for something insignificant when compared to the Faye challenge.

20 years ago it would have been a great tackle, but in todays day and and age it's a stonewall red card for me.

I agree that at home, the fans can make a difference and it comes hand-in-hand with a good performance. A performance like that from the lads at Hillsborough will create a great positive atmosphere which as discussed before on the forum makes a difference to players' performances. Take all that drive, passion and determination and bring it in Hillsborough please Wednesday!

The key to our success yesterday was the midfield being quick to close down Hull as soon as they got the ball. This invariably forced them to give up the ball and we could then counter.

Interestingly, when JJ was subbed we were left with Sidibe up front who just jogged around allowing Hull to come out from the back. If Sidibe had've been on for longer we'd have been under much more pressure. Thank God he wasn't
