Night King
Neil every thread you start is a dig at people that pay their hard earned cash to go and watch football at Hillsborough. Yesterday Dave Jones played a blinder and has proven recently he is a more then competent manager. But it can't be ignored that some of his signings have been tragic and at home we have awful for the majority of games.
TheEnchanter
True, very true. People come on here and claim to be all moral and correct after each win we have. Its a bit embarrassing. Then making up all the crap about DJ lovers and haters. Almost all of these 'happy clappers' were on DJs back in that terrible run but they wouldn't admit it. These are the sorts of people that claim the other fans enjoy it when we lose just so we can say 'I told you so'. They do just the same when we win. For the record im very happy with our turn around but not happy with the season as a whole and definitely some of the signings. I still think we will have to battle all the way. We have had numerous examples of people posting their primary desire is that Jones lose his job, sometimes even stating explicitly that they would accept defeats if that's what it took. And they were quite prepared to accept the most outrageous conjecture and downright lies to bolster those aims. Furthermore, those exercising restraint were by and large quite happy to accept that the situation was crap and that Jones was culpable for many mistakes, showing a degree of objectivity that did not exist amongst a minority of the critics. So if you don't mind, let's stop brushing that under the carpet by pretending it was the same on both sides of the divide. It wasn't.
Taff_Owl
With Lee getting involved, Helan giving us balance and Mattock getting a few decent games under his belt, the decent vs tragic ratio is looking healthier for DJ than it was a month ago. Im not brushing anything under the carpet, these people you refer too aren't in either camp. They are in the fool camp. Lets be honest anyway there werent many of these people and the ones that did say this are making such unreasonable comments that they don't really deserve to be in such debate about DJ. Also I dont **** this divide thats been created, we're all wednesday yet it seems anything pro DJ and you are in one divide and anything anti DJ (and im talking about the valid stuff not crap like he's lost the dressjng room or only works 3 days a week) then you are on one side. Isnt their some middle ground?
DobbinTheDonkey
To be fair to our Jekyll and Hyde fanbase, yesterday's performance and the Burnley one, epitomise this season so far for the whole club, management, players and fans alike. Who could have forseen what happened yesterday after the New Year's Day debacle I know we should support and encourage but it can be hard. I haven't shouted for DJ's head, even supported him at times but during the latter stages on Novemeber early December, any thread concerning DJ's future, I was rather quiet. I want DJ to succeed, as most do because if he does we will be a very happy fanbase. Edited January 13, 2013 by DobbinTheDonkey

trevdi9
great win yesterday and even the dj outers realise that ,but in all fairness some of us realise that a few decent results don't make a season if and when we survive then the accolades will rightly go to the manager and playing staff , other than that the gloating either way is infantile tbh ,some postersbroke their necks to hava a go yesterday at the doubters ,and it happens when we lose agreed ,it's not needed if the team and DJ deserve credit they will get it if they don't they won't yesterday was a credit day and was duely applauded by all ,what wasn't needed is the childish threads purely and simply aimed at the fans who want better results than this manager has provided through the first half of the season as fighting relegation is not a nice place to be ,
markowl
To be fair trev the DJ outers are much more vitriolic than those who are backing the manager. The personal abuse that some have posted against the manager has been nothing short of disgusting so lets not lose sight of that.

EcclesallOwl
Neil was one of the DJ outers at one point in the 7 match losing streak.. When everyone thought he was going to be sacked Neil was popping up with the comments about Keegan and saying why was DJ doing this or that.. The two aren't mutually exclusive I didn't see your support in the 7 game losing streak mate, I've only seen you pipe up recently when a few was having a dig at him in the recent decent run, especially after the MK, but fair play if you've had faith in him all the way through, I haven't and i'm not ashamed to say so, but on the other hand I'm not a hater, so I do hope he can shove it back in my face. Yeah but it's easy to say it after a decent win in the middle of a decent run of form, I did not see your support when we had just lost our seventh game on the trot - just saying. markowl
It's also easy to jump on the bandwagon and abuse the manager without seeing the bigger picture.
TaxiMark
It's also easy to jump on the bandwagon and abuse the manager without seeing the bigger picture. Well I've not abused the manager, not really seen anyone 'abuse' him either, but I have questioned his signings and methods and selections. It wasn't jumping on the bandwagon it was simply questioning his methods, I take it you were happy with Bothroyd then? I still didn't hear you support him much during the seven game run either, so yeah it's easy to jump on the bandwagon. daveyboy66
It's also easy to jump on the bandwagon and abuse the manager without seeing the bigger picture. Especially when you don't have areal understanding about what it takes to move up a division...look at brighton struggled first season and now established...we have to get settled in and then push on...the signs have been thre all season..we played some expansive stuff early season but the defence kept leaking points...now the defence is settled we can try and start to play that kind of football again...it must be a lot easier pusing forward knowing that the defence is sorted

Or the abuse beacuse he's from Liverpool? You don't flipping see much do you? And why are you so bothered about me supporting him? You won't find one negative post from me during that 7 game run, but hey it's all about the fact I didn't support him eh? @owlstalk
not really seen anyone 'abuse' him either,. Then you must have just glossed over all those - of which there have been many. What a shame the vitriol and abuse of our manager and chairman have been conveniently overlooked so that we may post more of it Owlstalk Shop
