Question re: Wednesday Player

Recommended Posts

How do you get it to play on android devices?

As our laptop has recently gone boobies up I only have the Nexus 7. I've tried following instructions by others on the internet, but all have failed.

Does WP work with any software other the Flash Player?

Have you got a Nexus 7 or any other android device and got WP to work?

A good question.

I have a Nexus 7 and followed instructions to install flash. I'll try and dig them out for you

The news videos work fine but when I tried a live match commentary it sounded like the chipmunks. I haven't investigated further.

Have you installed Flash?

I tried installing flash using some youtube video. A bloke was downloading it to the Nexus 10, but said it would work on 7.

He left a link to follow for flash, but for some reason it just wouldn't download.

Have you managed to sort your squeeky commentary yet?

been covered many times on here

to use it on player you need to download an app one is called Photon iirc not sure which the other is but sure somebody will come on and say

To play using android you need flash player not all android phones support it  HTC does not sure that Samsung phones do.

Best way to access it is by going on to player http://www.player.swfc.co.uk/home/ scroll down to bottom of screen and in the left hand corner click on accessible version. You are presented with a dogs dinner of a screen find sign in near the top and sign in. About a quarter of the way down is Live matches stat and commentaries. Just have a play around. What I will say is it's very very blocky unless you are on wi fi

Flash player has been discontinued on android phones or is about to be so you might have to download an alternative have a look in play store

you'd be better off asking apple why they won't allow flash on their phones

take it u can't listen to commentary on iphone yet

Don't think Apple support flash on their iThingies

Not found any help on the squeaky streaming audio yet

There are a couple of apps on the iTunes store which will let you listen to the Wednesday Player commentary.

Photon and Puffin.

Of the two, I'd recommend the latter - there's a free (ad-supported) version so it won't cost you owt.

No idea, sorry.

You use the app as a web browser to go through the website as usual, yes.

I have S3 and I just visit swfc.co.uk go to player sign in and off you go!

I've done that but it's sometimes difficult to navigate to the live commentaries tag that's why I use accessible version.
