Hi all picked the wrong time to visit Hillsborough for the first time this season - new years day! The main thing i noticed was the lack of creativity, and sidibe.. .wont go there!? Why have pecnik, rhodri and McGuire been completely disregarded, they must offer more than we are getting?

Welcome Fozzy,

Rodri's offered nothing of value since his goal against brums - has not been strong enough so far and not made the step up from spanish 2nd tier.

Pecnik decent on the ball and some creative play but again not strong enough and sluggish in tracking back, marking etc

Maguire - not sure about him - is he an academy player?

Seriously spelling police give me a break! Thanks it appears they haven't cut it but its three players in what seems like a long line of signings by DJ which have failed? If they aren't going to play, cut the losses and get rid (Maguire to Portsmouth for instance) probably cant bring many in till we get some out

Apart from Maguire, the other two players may have been brought in to fit a system which Jones has subsequently realised doesn't work. I feel if Rodri doesn't get a chance tomorrow, then I've no idea when he will. Must be hard for him to settle in as a young lad who doesn't speak the lingo. Not forgetting he's only a loan, so perhaps not a great deal of dosh has been wasted - nothing ventured, nothing gained blah blah.

Pecnik showed promise and never quite got a run in the team - again as above, system and all that.

Maguire's injury and rumours of his poor attitude rearing its ugly head (as has been a problem in the past) will no doubt explain his absence.

I think - despite being completely different players - Chris O'Gradys run at the start of the season played a part in the vanishing of Maguire too. He went from new signing to 4th in the pecking order after Derby and Rodri's arrival.
