I certainly wouldn't start with him but thought he would be at least on the bench. Think it will be good for him fighting for his place. Bit of complacency kicked in!

Thoughts?

I think Prutton would keep him out the side at the moment, and Semedo can't do enough with the ball to compete with McCabe or Lines for the other berth.

I agree not sure he is Championship standard but think he would be a good sub to put on with 20 left needing to hold onto a point or 3. We need to sign a quality experienced c mid to play alongside prutton/semedo/McCabe. No lines for me!!

Chuck him straight back in as a sweeper - keep the clean sheets going lol

Seriously I don't think we've missed him, now that might sound harsh but check the results

Agree he should come on and bolster midfield late on if we protecting a lead

I don't think the up turn in results was losing Semedo but ctainly losing Bothroyd was

Last season Prutton couldn't get near the team for Semedo? Difficult one this because of how good Semedo is, I always say don't split a winning team but we've also not started the same 11 last four games. One thing is for certain the back 5 are a lot better than they were, that's the difference!

He's a squad player like everybody ( the way it should be ) and will be used when the manager sees fit. I can't understand why some of you are righting him off.

I think he's been written off too soon. Don't think he has been as bad as some are making out. Was struggling a bit trying to do a 3 man job. Oh andhe can knock the ball about when players are available.

Some people have extremely short memories.

Not sure what you mean by that. I think everybody remembers him as being absolutely outstanding last season, and I'd go as far as to say that relative to the level of football he was playing at, there was no better midfield player in the country than Semedo. When he played his first few games of this season, he looked totally lost at this level, but (all credit to him) stuck at it and eventually looked a very average player at Championship level. Acknowledging that he's failed to step up to our current level doesn't mean that we all have extremely short memories, it means that we accept that Semedo is outstanding at third division level, but not quite good enough to step up to second division football.
