He's a left sided version of Tavernier. A decent full back, but looks better playing further forward. Hopefully Roberto Pardew won't mind him playing out of position lol

Anyone who recalls my thread from a few weeks ago about Helan, when I mentioned what my Man City mate had said about him, will recall that he was better as an attacking left sided player, having his best games at wing back and bombing forward.

Keep him on loan, let him play the attacking role if it looks promising with him and Reda on the left = win / win.

Looks like DJ is stumbling into a few solutions at the moment. I think we might just stop up you kmow

Not been today but spoke to a friend and he said the balance in the side was best he's seen Helan helping Reda and McCabe finding that space and touch in midfield which we desperately needed.

Is this the same player that Owlstalk was in meltdown about a few short weeks ago?

"he can't get a game for Shrewsbury?"

"Julian Bennetts kept him out of the side"

"Jones has lost the plot"

"What's wrong with the 6 other left backs we have?"

Maybe Jones can spot a player? Lets face it 2 players he brought in won the game for us today with 2 amazing pieces of individual skill.

Helan has has had a solid loan spell

I hope we keep him on too....
