longley owl
I wouldn't say I disliked Dave Jones as I haven't met him, however I do think he's doing a terrible job atm but always want us to win no matter who is in charge

Guest intercity0wl
Yea, there's been a alot of positive support lately mate hasn't there? Idiot I think that the word support by definition , could be classed as being positive and supportive, still if it made ya feel better telling us to support the team today dispite your dislike of DJ, then i suppose it was worth it. Blueblood
Well actually, yes The last home game a perfect example. The vast majority of fans gave complete support Although I agree that the atmosphere at the last game was a bit better, what did p!ss me off was all the moans and groans everytime a pass or a shot went astray. We need to support what the players are trying to do and not moan cos it hasn't come off. Most of our fans aren't happy unless it's a pin point pass or a shot flies in the top corner

After all, it's not like they are getting paid far too much to kick a ball round a pitch once a week. Blueblood
Yeah, let's cheer them everytime a 'pass or shot goes astray'. After all, it's not like they are getting paid far too much to kick a ball round a pitch once a week. But surely if we support them when they try something they'll try again and just maybe get it right the next time. If all they hear is 20k moans, then they're not going to try anything. Would it improve your performance at work if we all came down and collectivly shouted "you're feckin sh!t" everytime you made a mistake. Or would it work better if someone said "unlucky lad, better luck next time" I know it's a crazy concept but it just could work

Just a quick question, you too are in the lucky position to be playing Football for a living, you hit a few stray passes, what in all honesty would make you feel better DURING THE GAME, a bit of encouragement to stick at it, or moans groans and shouts of you f**king useless two hat ???, Note i did say during the game. Guest Big Guns
It's human nature to moan when passes go astray or players nesh tackles etc Just like it is to cheer when we score or clap when there's been a good effort or summat

Bluesteel
I think DJs PR skills in the media haven't helped one bit during this run, I think if he had been less defensive and admitted he'd made a pigs ear of things but would like the chance to turn it around then he would get a much better response. I agree with the nesshing tackles tho. Thats unforgivable

I hear what your saying, but dont neccesarily agree 100% about him geting a better response, is he not being more honest when he says that for many in this side, its a learning Curv ?, im not saying i agree with that, but just trying to highlight that whichever way he plays it, and whatever he says, for some it will always be the wrong thing. tomhollywood
Give it up intercityowl mate. Once some people's minds are made up they are like a dog with a bone and no reasoning will change it. We could win the next 10 (highly unlikely) then lose 2 in a row. After the 2 losses, the chatter and negativity would then start referring back to his previous bad spell. Add another loss then it's "we should have got rid before Xmas". The above paragraph is all make believe but that scenario wouldn't surprise you would it?!!

He might not from everyone, but I can only speak for myself. There are some that will not accept it but I think for some more reasonable people it would The learning curve thing is frustrating because whilst it may be true in some respects he then hides behind that because he didnt address it in the summer and many of the players have played at this level before at some juncture. I think he contradicts himself in interviews when he hangs players out to dry and then says he backs the team to the hilt in the very next interview. Little things like that begin to grate when he's hardly blameless himself.
