It worked in various ways with Prutton, Palmer and Beevers. 3) any new players - which will be either loan / out of contract / free signings - will not arrive until Tuesday January 30th 2013 at earliest See my response to 1. we know how it is don't we ? You honestly think Milan will let us go down, devaluing the club and basically putting him back to square one? Milan always leaves it late. Look at how he bought us. January transfer window is about as late as you can get and, in my opinion, MM won't disappoint.

townend_owl
3 things to happen: Something that won't happen (spend money) Something we'll find difficult to make happen (move players on) Something that might happen later (loans) all 3 things are NOT 'things that will happen'

Guest Wirrowl
Saying a thing won't happen is, technically, saying that something will happen. The absence of action is surely an event. Inertia happened. The happening was a decision to maintain the status quo.

Worksop Wednesday
Halfway through month so thought I'd revisit this Not to say correct so far, told you so or owt like that but so far things have gone as many of us expected Cant hear much from the ' we gonna spend 1,2,3,4.5 million squad' tho ....!!!! To update my points this is how I think January will end 1) We will only spend if we can raise funds as has now been widely acknowledge - feeling that COG could be moved on ( see my thread Wot now for COG?) and the Buxton to QPR thing sort of worries me a bit as although it came seemingly out of leftfield (or BG!) he is out of contract in summner and if DJ can raise cash and replace him with say the previoulsy linked McNauighton at Cardiff for nowt and plus Kieran Lee' emergence, I dont think its beyond possibility that Lewis could be sacrificed in same way as COG. Others ? Well Madine's situation been well covered, Llera - maybe ? 2) No change - always said we'd have trouble shifting players we'd like shifting out this month but would hope last night will help that situation as surely we dont need as many 'squad' players for cup cover so.... Step up Mr Aldridge do ur stuff and lets trim the squad and wage bill - negotiate some deals for some that are out of contract end of season to go now ! You managed to get Teale and Potter off the books so do your thing ! 3) Clock is ticking !
