Burnsie
How is everyone getting there on Saturday? Never been to a game there before, but know where it is. So, questions; What’s the best method of getting there? Will the trains be silly busy? If going by car where’s best to park? Pubs? Are there likely top be any fences like the big games at Hillsborough and Bumhole lane which will make walking around the ground itself troublesome? Tenks! richowl
Not going personally but on the ocassions I've been before we've got on the train @ chapeltown. Normally busy but bearable. Conductors rarely come round either. When we've gone in the car we've parked at the metrodome & had a drink in there.
glenowl
train is easy and also for going by the car theirs that field which they use as a carp park when i've been in the past which is right next to away end, horrible to get out of though, also as said above metrodome for a drink before match

Designated bar down in the sportshall for Wednesday fans and a short 5 minute walk through the car park to the away end, it can be a pain to get away from after, but thats not unusal at most games.. I would check that this facility will be operational on saturday tho, as the Metrodome does many works xmas do's on Saturdays in December, but i would imagine plod would like it to open, with the town centre being so busy near christmas. huddsOWL
if you're going by car then there are car parks in the town centre, there's one big one near the interchange off county way, might be a bit busier with xmas shoppers though, there is also a car park at bottom of queens road, which is the road leading to the away end/metrodome but might be busy getting away after the game? as for pubs, if you're not wearing colours and not got a broad dee dar accent then you should be ok :) we usually go to the joseph bramah in the centre. Castleford Owl
Bus from Brierley to Barnsley, 2-3 minute walk to the Metrodome pre match
senwar
Train from chap for me I think. Over the years I've been by minibus train and drove. Parking is usually fine (parked off sheffield road a few times). But the lure of afternoon beers in chap then train there and back. Go on then. Although did debate getting coach with the ball just for ease and lift back into boro

Guest intercity0wl
minibus from players at ecco about half 4 Might be pushing it a bit at that time, what with it being the penultimate Saturdy before xmas, traffic will be heavier than normal, combined with many shops closing around that time, just a thought. W H I T E Y
Train. Drink in Tarn. No colours, handle your ale, and you'll be reight. I do the exact same, when coming to your gaff. If you're coming for the ale with pals, can handle your ale and gob, don't wear colours or make it blatant you're away, and for the game itself, you'll be fine. As I have been on every trip to your city to play you. Although, the world is full of idiots, so be on guard. About 500 of us walked away from BL the day we relegated em, down Shoreham. They didn't come near us. Instead, chose to attack families on the club coaches. And throw rocks onto the train station. Hard as nails the BBC. Guest christheowl
Get round Barnsley town center, there not a bad lot as long as your not the type of idiot who gobs off. Plenty of places to drink and always had some friendly banter when I've been round before the match.
