On a positive note...

Vardy did us a MASSIVE favour yesterday scoring late on as it keeps it tight down bottom and recoverable.

But like the north stand legend isn't it time to get behind the players on the pitch

Because no matter what your views are of the manager the players are staying

Till January

PS Dave Jones said yesterday that if he was to get sacked then all the players should get sacked on the spot, and all the coaches too

Which sort of backs up his rhetoric that we are all in it together. Fair enough but by the same token if they are all responsible for the failure this season then they were all responsible for the success last season. If he had not been so quick to break up last seasons team with too many new players coming into the side then we would more than likely be better off now.

I am not saying that all of last seasons team are capable of being comfortable at this level but they were confident and performed well as a unit, this showed in the first few games. DJ's rash changes have eroded much of the confidence and team spirit and in addition to this many of the players he has brought in and the formations he has played has not improved the team.

Much of the team that played yesterday were last seasons team and had Reda been fit this would have been even more the case.

I think the way we conceded goals was plain daft and the way the game ended up has clouded some peoples judgement.

Until their first goal we were by far the better side and created many more chances than we have done in recent defeats. We continued to miss glaring opportunities in the 2nd half but at least we created these chances.

Bristol created little from open play and we gifted them their goals. I hope we don't go back to the 4-5-1 as a result of yesterday.

Sorry, but the manager is always ultimately responsible and accountable and Dave Jones knows this goes with the territory.

not saying he's not Daz, just think the players get It too easy mate....

Can't disagree with that Steveger - they always have and always will, but we all know that managers are paid well to identify and bring in players, pick the team, dictate the tactics and achieve results.

When it all goes pear shaped, a manager has no hiding place behind his players and his coaches and I don't think it achieves anything in trying to deflect the responsibility and accountability beyond himself - certainly not in the public domain. If he thinks they are not doing their jobs properly then it's either because they can't (in which case why did he bring them in) or if they are simply not performing that should be dealt with on the training ground.

Ultimately no amount of rhetoric is going to excuse bad results - only wins can change things.

Totally true. Jones' interview was unbelievable yesterday. Again he chooses the team which players to keep and which to sign etc. The buck stops with the manager. We need a reaction from the players and quickly before it's too late . The only way I see this happening is with a new man in charge.

The players weren't poo or spinless at the beginning of the season... Just sayin

Hmmmm got me thinking. Does anyone know the players in those games we won early on? Not that I'm saying that might be the answer but it would be interesting to know and compare. Something must have changed between then and now.

Hard to disagree with that Daz.

Manager picks the players & coaches + tactics = buck stops with him.

Simples.
