How much does Milan have to spend to get us out of this mess?

Recommended Posts

If Milan does put his hand in his pocket this january then how much do you think he has to spend to stop us getting relagated?

Do we buy 2 quality players for decent money? or 3-4 lesser players just to get us out of this mess?

Or is it going to be more loan signings?

Does he trust Jones with the money?

Compared to a lot of other clubs in this division we did not spend a lot of money in the summer did we?

So Jones had to go budget buying.

I'm not defending Jones as i think he has made some very strange decisions with loan signings and team selections but i will say that he has not had the money of some other clubs???

Perhaps if he could get serious money we would see some quality players to save our season?

At the very least we need a quick centre half, a dominant central midfielder, and a striker who scores regularly.

That won't be cheap.

Any ideas on players? not many clubs will want to get rid of there best player in January Edited by јаон-ова

I agree, at least 3 million for those types of player's and there is no way Milan will shell that out!

The most important bit of spending MM needs to do is the "Thanks for the promotion but it's bye bye time Dave" payoff to DJ.

But a new manager will also need money to sort the mess out.....its gonna cost Milan a few bob over the next few weeks, hope his family arnt expecting any big expensive Christmas pressies!

How much did DJ spend on the team when he came in last season?

Even if mm did spend in january would you trust jones to spend the money wisely?, after this summers farce I wouldnt trust him as far as I could throw him.

So are you suggesting that the players we have here are good enough for the championship?? Madine and O'Grady natural clinical finishers? Llera and Taylor capable of consistent mistake free performances at this level? Lines and semedo capable of running a game and chipping in with 5-10 goals from midfield...... I could go on and on!

Around 3 million on 4 players of proven ability would be enough as there are other poor teams in this league, but no Iwouldnt give the money to DJ.

Whatever the budget, if he sacks DJ then the kitty will be smaller as a result.

That's MM's dilemma though. Would you give DJ any more money to spend given the poor quality of his summer signings or would you bring another manager in who might have less to spend but who spends it more wisely.

The problem is attracting the players we will need. If championship quality players see our league position as no hope they won't sign - we know that all to well.

We may just have to take a punt on some top league one players, hope that they make the step up quickly and if the worst happens we have a decent squad to go into L1 with next year.

I would love to say go out and spend 3-4m on proven quality but MM won't do it and it is no guarantee it will save us.

Mcdonald and mcguire at the dirty's are two top division 1 players????

Not necessarily, look at Ipswich (I know its early days) sometimes a change in manager can have a positive effect on the players already at the club, depending on who comes in the confidence levels and morale can soar, some players see it as a clean slate, some may not have been happy with the previous manager and therefore up there game for the new boss, then there's the team set up, how the new man wants to play, this can make a vast difference to the attitude of the players and the way they go about their bussiness.

Also, if it's someone who the fans want/admire/love then the whole atmosphere changes throughout the club, a feel good factor if you like which ultimately culminates in players being more confident on the pitch, not poo scared to make a mistake, creates a team bonding instead of everyone pulling in different directions.

A change is needed, a positive change, someone who'll give the place a buzz (FFS NOT Billy Davies). IF Di Canio would take the job he would bring everything to the table, for me he's the only choice.
