wharncliffeowl
Someone needs to seriously reconsider the blueprint you and your people have put together for your club. Last seasons preseason was a shambles. We barely had a squad in place come kick off. Megson was frustrated at the lack of urgency the powers that be put into acquiring his targets. Promotion was achieved although the manager you yourself appointed was sacrificed along the way. 38,000 at Hillsborough vs Wycombe showed you the potential waiting to be unleashed here. This summer you made all the right noises about not standing still in the Championship. We aimed to progress you said. You then spent all summer haggling over one player. He eventually arrived on the eve of the start of the season and presumably had to then start to find a house etc and missed all this clubs pre season training/bonding. Many other players were brought into the club but only two or three are deemed good enough to be in the team. Why is this? Why were these particular players acquired! Someone failed badly this summer. Whether it was you because you did not fund players of a higher pedigree or your latest managerial appointment who did not do his homework properly or indeed some other reason we the fans are not party to. Someone somewhere inside the club has failed badly. I hope you and your team are seriously reviewing your blueprint and making the necessary amendments. Guest beatleowl
Have to agree. We're forever in Milan's debt for saving us and I do appreciate it but his scrimped and scraped and it could ultimately cost us our championship status. If he wanted to merely survive Dave Jones was the wrong manager.

Guest beatleowl
A combination of the two I would suggest. The horrible performances and team selections are down to the one who refutes blame in the dugout.

Not sticking up for him as I think all our downfalls have to stop at Milans door this year, However with us bringing back the development/reserve team then at least 16 players had to be brought in to fill this squad, most been under 23. swfc-dan
Im in the "can't blame Milan as he saved us club", but I do agree that we should've been more proactive yet again. Will never slag him off after he saved us, but maybe it is best that he sold up and moved on. Edited December 8, 2012 by swfc-dan
