I'd say Bullen was awful also; king of the short back pass.  The whole stadium has their heart on their mouth every time he went to play is back. He was generally off the pace on the poo league 1.

Only loved cos he tried hard and had a good attitude (which is all you need with some supporters)

Westwood was truly terrible; but I'd say Blondeau was probably the worse. Came as a hard man, International player, and defender of the year in France (if my memory serves me right)

Heard from a friend (who's from Marseille - where Blondeau is from) that he was involved in mafia (still is), makes you wonder if the transfer to us was part of making some dodgy money (agent fees) - from Marseille (played for Monaco) - goes to Sheffield for 1.8m and then leaves after 6 games (or so).

Andy Hinchcliffe and Andy Sinton-expensive and always broken.

Andy Hinchcliffe was good for us when fit. Go on youtube and look at the corners he used to take.

Andy Sinton on the other hand......

Value for money/reputation vs reality - both were poor.

Can't believe there hasn't been more mention of Julian Bennett.

Complete joke of a footballer who I'm pretty certain couldn't see straight. As evidenced by his complete inability to track a run, pass or head in a straight line.

If we are talking bad attitude, the stand out non trier for me was Michail Antonio after he decided he wanted away. Unforgivable.

Scored the winner at Yeovil one time? Cracking header. (If memory serves)

For the more mature people on here, probably the worst forward I have seen in an Owls shirt is Peter Feeley

TC. My favourite player ever until the Waddler arrived.

One of mine too. In retrospect I should have left out Marwood and Curran (who were legends) and inserted Leon Clarke and A.N.Other I guess my attempt at being a smart ar$e fell flat ..

Seriously now;

Sammy Todd (clumsy)

John Holsgrove (couldn't jump without leaning on someone)

Larry May (out of his depth)

Bothroyd (for not trying)

Jeffers (over rated)

Everyone else has been brilliant

He was incredibly bad.

I don’t think I ever saw him complete a pass.

He really wasn't. He was just a young lad who made a few fleeting appearances in the early 90s including an excellent debut away at Ipswich, then he just drifted into obscurity.

Tony Crane was infinitely worse than him.

Tony Crane reminded me of Norman Whiteside when I first saw him but unfortunately he wasn't in the same class. He was one of a number of young uns Paul Jewell was forced to introduce. I'm surprised he didn't end up at S2 like a lot of them did.

People calling Bullen out in this thread WTF? Was absolutely outstanding in promotion season!

Plenty of contenders not mentioned so far and to me the worst are always has beens .

steve nichol who was beyond past it when he rocked up

earl Barrett who could hardly run

jon mccarthy who looked like the ‘buy one get one free’ wizardy guy from the double glazing adverts and was as bad a player.

mcphail who couldn’t run or pass or tackle

jeffers who was totally shot

a couple of appalling foreign signings

bonvin. Had no idea what to do

Rhodri
