Thomaswednesday
Ive been on the keep DJ in side of the fence so far ( purely because i couldnt think of a replacement ) but have you noticed how far sunderland have slipped in the prem? 1point off the drop. so how safe do you think martin o'neill's job is? wouldn't be a bad christmas present. Liam_Baggies
MON is such an over rated manager and his spell at Sunderland is hopefully his last in the game and he can make way for a vibrant young manager with beliefs in playing the game the right way rather than spending sack loads of money on average over priced stars and forcing them into the most terrible football in the league. Sunderland and Villa were and are mind numbingly boring under his leadership.

Yup. Maybe Santa will come riding his magic sleigh over Sheffield and drop Martin O'Neill off at Hillsborough covered from head to toe in wrapping paper. That's the only way Martin O'Neill will be Wednesday manager.

Martin O'Neill is a quitter imo, very complex character, wouldn't want him.
Worksop Wednesday
Martin O'Neill is a quitter imo, very complex character, wouldn't want him. yep - some of his interviews are very ' DJ' esque ' !! would be a case of deja vu - so no thanks we already got one !!! robswfc
I was thinking similar the other day. When he used to be on MOTD, he would rip other managers' tactics and/or players' performances to shreds. Latterly, it was McCarthy. Easy from an armchair, a different proposition in reality. UTO oh the irony
gurujuan
Strangely, Martin O'Neill was approached to take over from Megson by the consortium trying to buy Wednesday before Milan took over. Couldn't see him working outside the Premier League now.

Guest Mattty
Not a chance. Even if he lost his job at Sunderland (the fans worshipped him when he first signed up, so that is doubtful in itself to happen so early), why in the world would he want to come here?! Guest Mattty
Jones will stay here now until the 15th at least. But bad results from the next 2 games and he will be gone, and then in hindsight we will all be wishing he left earlier. Personally I'd have let him go after Watford because that second half was just embarrassing. Billy Davies would do us a job. I don't really know why anybody on this forum doesn't like him. So what if he is a bishop basher, I fondly agree with the idea that managers need to be authoritative.... players should even be scared to let their manager down. We all know that if we go out and perform below average and lose 1-0 (hull, wolves, forest, are 3 performances that come to mind) then DJ will not exactly be giving the hairdryer treatment.
