None of them selected teams could hold a torch to what we've got today lol

Imagine our current lot playing against the 1974/75 team? :st2:

Battle of the worst ever Wednesday runs.

Would probably end up 0-0 with zero shots on goal and zero effort.

That would be one hell of a stinker of a game. :picnic:

Just the thought of it, is making me sleepy.

:tango:

Walker

Bougherra

Nolan

Waddle

Palmer

Carbone

I'm playing with 10. I've tried to name 11 good players I'm struggling. I'm playing no such formation and sticking people out of position. I remember hirst being overweight and struggling. Remember waddles last game but can't remember the glorious times some of you whitnessed. I really am struggling. I'd gladly give away 7 years at the end of my life to have whitnessed 91 + 93 (I was 3 in 91). Some of you probably didn't appreciate it at the time. My dad being from Hillsborough, my mam from rotherham I was brought up in rotherham, I've always been tarred with the "glory supporter tag". If only!

Can only really select players that I've seen

Pressman - for his sheer consistency

Nilsson - Difficult choice, love Mel Sterland but Nilsson pips it with his class

Walker - You'll never beat him....

Pearson - throw up between him and Mick Lyons, we saw the best years of Pearson while Lyons was ending his career here.

Worthington - Consistency again but had his better games playing in front of Phil King

Waddle - No comment needed

Sheridan - When at his best, total class

Palmer - Did the ugly things well and also popped up with the odd goal

Curran - Great winger/striker who loves the club

Hirst - Only question is, who plays at the side of Hirst.

Bannister - One of my first Wednesday heroes and would compliment Hirst perfectly (Williams like)

Subs

Hodge

Sterland

Lyons

M.Smith

Warhurst

Di Canio

Carbone

We have had some great players over the last 20 years, if could have picked any player to have played in all your great teams it would have been Eric Cantona who Francis let go to Leeds, we would have won the Championship that year, and then the champions league the following year .... if we had not been banned from Europe
