I didn't go to games back then, but my dad always goes on about the Boxing Day massacre, and the replays against arsenal in the cup along with numerous away matches that he's been to. For me it's the millennium stadium play off final against Hartlepool. I can remember the day so clearly and waking up at 3 in the morning excited as anything because it was my birthday the day after! That's all I can remember as I'm only 16 soon, but in sure some people's got games that they look back fondly on

That play-off final is one of my most memorable ones too.

Went through so many emotions that day.

Was so excited, ended up in the Hartlepool section, cos they didn't have hardly anyone there and could only get a ticket for their end lol

Got thumped by a Hartlepool thug, whilst they were winning. Who was blind drunk and throwing beer cans down at his own fans.

Stewards took me, and two mates and some other Wednesdayites out of the Hartlepool section, walked us around to sit with the Wednesday fans.

Practically had to walk what seemed miles to the other side of the ground, through the endless corridors, doors and bars.

Remember thinking we had blown it. Till Steven McLean came on and we got that penalty.

Went mental in my 1970s long sleeved home shirt on a boiling hot day and at the final whistle, I remember seeing among the few Hartlepool fans left, the guy who hit me crying his eyeballs out and thinking 'ah, serves you right you thug' lol

Other memorable games include Klinsmann's remarkable debut for Spurs; the incredible 4-2 semi away against Blackburn playing some of the best attacking football I've ever seen Wednesday play, the Steel City final at Wembley and the Boxing Day clash against Liverpool in 1989 even though we lost thats the game that hooked me.

Brentford away was the most special day of my footballing life.

Burnley away when we were already relegated, took 5000 and won 7-2 has to be second.

The 2-1 wembley semi-final against the oinkers has to be one of the best. Thumping Leeds 6-2 at home in the early 90's, along with the 2-0 win over manure (the "posh spice takes it arse" chant match) were also brilliant. The 2-0 win over the arse at home around 94 was also brilliant - we went into the match underdogs but the atmosphere was electric from the near-full house attendance. The mist was swirling around the stadium and the chanting was none-stop. I took three Italian mates who were students at Sheffield Uni who were all Juve fans - they loved it - no prouder moment of my club, (except when my first born muttered Owls as her first word)!

Incredible day the atmosphere in the pub around the corner from the ground watching the pigs bottle will live with me forever

I remember sending a message on my phone just saying that money couldn't possibly buy the day I was having

Wednesday 5 Man U 4. I remember the Green 'Un headline "Whitham Hat Trick In 5-4 Triumph" It later came to light Jack Whitham scored 4 but one of them went in off Nobby Stiles on the goal line. Ritchie scored the other one. Many Sheffielders were still on holiday as it took place on 28th August 1968, I believe. It was only a few months after Man U had won the European Cup beating Benfica 4-1. Fantastic day!

The BDM and the semi against the pigs come fairly close but when you consider the great names that were in that Man U side that day, it was a brilliant result and performance by the super Owls. Best, Law, Charlton etc.

For me the 5-4 win over Man Utd. No other match comes close to it.

This. Me and my dad were in the uncovered seats that night and my dad got into an argument with a Man Ure fan on the way out who said we were lucky barstewards. Thought my dad (big steel worker!) was going to knock him out but he ran off. Amazing night. Our Jack was on fire that night.

Nov 1986ish 3rd Placed Owls 1 1st Placed Man United 0. Leapy Lee 81' far post header from a Billy Ocean corner. 49,000 on hand to see them beaten for the first time that season after all the build up about them going unbeaten the whole way.

DJ Stevie Splash, uncovered Kop, going to the game fully expecting to beat Man U who hadnt won the title for about 20 years, listening to Sports Report on someone's tranny on way out with the Owls being the main story debating whether we could win the title.

An experience I'll not have again in my lifetime, I took it for granted it would be like that forever from then on.
