daleblue
I have been an avid reader of owlstalk for a number of years and would like to say that the bald bloke who runs it does a pretty decent job, and sometime's i agree with his posts, one of which is the defence of dave jones. Here's my two penn'orth . firstly i believe that he is the right man for us but has made a bit of a pigsear of his summer signings, the phrase " i build that's what i do" may come back to haunt him, i do belive that some of his young signings will come good, but and it's a big but, i dont believe they are for this season. I can't for the life of me see anyone better than jones to move this club on in this league and i also believe M M will not allow us to be relegated if only for finanancial reason's, that's why come jan will give jones strict instructions to buy 3 good championship proven players, defender, midfield, and an attacker, this will be expensive. question: If you was the owner would you allow all your funds to be used in the summer or would you keep the majority of funding back untill you see what and where you need to improve as the season unfolds. Didnt work last time with badger irvine, this time we have a far better manager in dave jones, who will get it right.

But maybe I'm just expecting the worst and hoping for the best...

Bluesteel
If he isn't sacking Jones then he will have to be willing to spend in January I think.
Chriss
I dont think we'll buy anyone in January. I dont think that he will get rid of Jones either. My god we're in for probably one of the toughest seasons yet.
HOOTIE AND THE SHIT TU
You can't come on here spouting common sense. Welcome to Owlstalk. Just a bloke, who used up all his luck in one go when he met his wife.
33
daleblue Welcome to Owlstalk...! Good first post, but sorry I don't agree. I genuinely think he is past the point of no return. Bothroyd in particular and Taylor have been his tools to completely disassemble team spirit in our playing squad. The sooner he has gone, the better...!
