RichSheffWeds
where you get paid £500,000 per annum for failing? Politics within the club being blamed for our players not performing/playing for the manager. You'd expect an employee on £500,000 per annum to be a highly motivated individual. clud17
its a bit sobering to think that some careers that hold peoples life in their hands if they fail get paid way way less!!!

You know, the spineless clowns who never get sacked, and are mincing round Meadowhall, Nandos and the nearest Audi dealership, whilst we all whinge at DJ. RichSheffWeds
Only true of ex PM's of course. No MP gets near £500k per annum from politics. Tony Blair earned £11.2m last year though. Edited December 1, 2012 by RichSheffWeds

In all honesty my friend, i was being facetious which i hoped would have been picked up on and not taken too seriously However, you are correct most mp's won't earn that kind of wedge from their salary but the fact they are an mp gives them huge gravitas to earn money outside the direct politiical arena - but entirely due to the fact they are in frontline politics

RichSheffWeds
Surely you could argue the opposite? Perhaps I should have phrased it differently - an employer should only be looking to employ highly self motivated individuals if they are going to pay them £500,000 per annum. Guest chuckie4570
. You'd expect an employee on £500,000 per annum to be a highly motivated individual. But if you get paid 500k win lose or draw why bother...!!!!
Last_Great_Hope
On the flipside there arent any other professions where employees are assets you can sell to your competitors from potentially millions of pounds.
RichSheffWeds
But if you get paid 500k win lose or draw why bother...!!!! More fool SWFC for employing gutless tvvats who have that philosophy. Any normal and sane business employing someone on £500,000 basic will have a thorough and vigorous structure to access the intelligence, ability and personality of the potential employee. What do we do? I bet we don't do any of those character assessments and look at the flippingresult. The more you think it through, the more ridiculous it is. But lets say the motivation is money, once they've earnt 500k for let's say four years. What happens to their motivation then?
