Aingarth Posted November 18, 2012 Share Posted November 18, 2012 Relegation would confirm us as a yo-yo team between the Championship and League 1(or Division 2 and Division 3 in real money). It would mean for decades we would need to accept that we are at the correct level. Don't even bother dreaming of the Premier League. It's not what any of us want but, as you say, no-one would die as a result of it. It would just confirm that, 1975 to 1983 was actually a far better time than now and that we are officially no longer a 'big club' - forget even thinking 'MASSIVE'. I think Milan would try quickly to offload and we could be in financial turmoil again - or trying to do a Portsmouth and get fans to put their hands deep into their pockets - and we all know how unpopular and unsuccessful that is in Sheffield! This question is simply put to those who think he should stay. Would you accept Relegation with DJ and keep him in his post, if the answer is no , at what point should he go, whether pushed or resign. I've been going to Hillsborough for 22 years but a 3rd spell in that horrible division would be too much to take, I'd join the massed ranks of casual fans who only go a few times a season. airborne_rat_of_s6 Posted November 18, 2012 Share Posted November 18, 2012 Don't think it's a case of accepting relegation - irrespective of how much hot air is spouted on here, if it is going to happen then it will happen.
