Daniel Jones

Still not good enough for me as he's prone to quite a few errors. They must have studied him today as most stuff came down his side.

But I'm being unfair as be deserves some credit. Looks better than he did last season and games will help him.

I've been very critical of him, he gave a bad first impression under Irvine when he tended to wander around the pitch looking lost. But recently, to be fair to him he has learnt to just do the basics and I've been impressed. Very quick, seems stronger and gets a good block in.

he's doing a job whilst Reda is out - who i'm sure would come straight back into the side. i would like to see Dan Jones keep healthy, though. the guy's had an injury 'mare since joining 2yrs ago. if he can stay in one piece, we might actually see something decent from him as the season progresses.

i've never seen a full back either ours or anyone else's who was beyond making a mistake...

the thing is, if you have pace to burn you have a chance to recover, maybe jones has seen this, and figures if we can teach reda to play lfb, then we can teach dan j to play lfb...

reda needs to be looking at c/b for a couple of years down the line...

I'm not his biggest fan but he did impress me with his pace Today. On more than a few occasions the Ipswich winger had him in a one on one situation only for Jones to slide in a make decent tackles,

Having said that, IMO, he lacks a severe amount of composure on the ball, especially in our half.
