always been that way mate ...i can remember singing a song about alan birchenall and charlie cook in the 60's that were very derogatory.hanging billy bremner from the kop springs to mind as well .10000 unitedites lay dead at our feet is another ........its part of football wether we like it or not .

'Cynical chanting' sums it up for me too im afraid...society is now more in your face and violent so the songs reflect that even the 'happier ones'....the atmosphere has changed MASSIVELY at games from 20 odd years ago!!!....its the Kyle generation now unfortunately. Also have moved to t'North now from the Kop to avoid the bloody band....its had its day!!!
