darra
So far we have got: Run around a lot Kick players Chase lost balls Shout for the ball a lot Clap the fans They should be sweating when they walk off When confidence is high all a piece of wee wee not so much when it's low

Guest
Its obvious We were described as relentless this season and now we are anything but. The answer does not necessarily come easily from written words but in viewing with your eyes at what is presented before you it is there for all to see? We are no longer relentless - why? It only takes 1 or 2 players not to have the same intensity as the rest of the team for this to take effect.
Freshfish
Waddle Sheridan ...it isn't about running round like headless chickens. The truly great players make it look easy but put the work rate in... Keegan was the opposite to this...had to work really hard to improve his game and make himself into the player he wanted to be. A good team has both types of player.

Weshallovercome
To be fair Neil you have a fantastic website, you take great pictures and you have contributed to some of the best threads on here. But when it comes to football you've always talked out your 4rse. Now you come to mention it.....

Weshallovercome
1. Get a Wednesday tattoo. 2. Thump a blunt in town centre. 3. Run around pitch like your undercrackers are on fire. I really miss words like this living in Belgium.

Guest Bedders
There's always someone yelling about a player not looking like he's interested/trying Or someone saying that a certain player doesn't care/give a flip So... In order to debunk this theory totally and prove conclusively once and for all that it's a reight load o poo pooe I will ask one simple single question The answers to this single question will demonstrate how much of a load of crap it is for people to say 'he doesn't look interested' or 'he doesn't give a flip' type stuff. QUESTION - HOW SHOULD A PLAYER PHYSICALLY DEMONSTRATE THAT THEY ARE 'INTERESTED', or THAT THEY 'GIVE A flip' ? Polygraph test them all at the end of the match......one question....."Have you been trying your hardest?".....publish results........problem solved!!! :tango:
Guest
Just write down what your eyes saw then A lack of intensity and endeavour, team spirit, togetherness and belief in recent games compared to when we were described as relentless. Do you disagree that this has been the case?
chad
the easy answer is...as fans we are not happy with results...I would suggest that neither Dave Jones or anyone in the team are either. Yes we got a good couple of results at the start of the season but anyone that thought from that it was going to be HMS wee wee The League is deluding themselves...mid table is what we should be aiming for. We've got injuries and had hard teams to play, plus a hell of a lot of bad luck with decisions etc. things will work out and we arent going down plus I seem to remember people telling us that Bothroyd is a great signing now slagging him off..oh well

Guest
If you believe that then answering the following question should be easy HOW SHOULD A PLAYER PHYSICALLY DEMONSTRATE THAT THEY ARE 'INTERESTED', or THAT THEY 'GIVE A flip' ? Can you not see that I have already answered it? We had success based on intensity, work rate and tempo, closing down from back to front and winning the ball back quickly, especially in the 2nd halves at Oldham and Derby, the first half against Birmingham and the closing stages against Millwall. The levels of this have dropped off, do you disagree? Or is that an irrelevant question in comparison to some comment about music on this thread? Guest oz_owl
If you believe that then answering the following question should be easy HOW SHOULD A PLAYER PHYSICALLY DEMONSTRATE THAT THEY ARE 'INTERESTED', or THAT THEY 'GIVE A flip' ? Oh ffs. It's an utterly pointless question. Like asking "how do you tell someone is happy?". A happy person might smile a lot. Does that mean all happy people smile? Or all smiling people are happy? There is no answer to the question because everyone is different. Exhibiting that you care about something and the perception of that by other people will vary from person to person. So why ask in the first place? Other than to wee wee people off of course. Hey whaddya know, I can copy & paste too!
