Dark$ide
COG played for over an hour on the left yesterday. In that time I can remember COG having 2 decent chances. I can recall Bothroyd having zero. JB went off, COG went up top. We then had a go and managed some possession in the Wolves half. Spot on.
Ash77
we need a forward playing off a big lad like cog/madine that has pace. as we don't maybe jj's worth a run next to one of them but cog is more of a relegation scrapper and doesnt think hes better than he his, unlike half our team. if rodri could run he'd score 20 but he's a luxury we can't afford with bothroyd and madine edging into that bracket too. not sure maguire has the pace to worry defences either Edited September 30, 2012 by Ash77
SandersonsElectronic
COG gives us a different dimension. As a manager you need as many different types of player as possible to keep your options open: Battering ram, sprinter, fox in the box, mercurial creator, defender hassler. And that's just up front. Problem is though, if you have them all, it's hard to devise a system that works when you're switching between the players all the time. DJ, please be brave, pick a team, and a system and give it time to work. Or is he desperately seeking a magic combination because he knows that MM just DOES NOT DO PATIENCE? sethman75
He tries hard but he has zero awareness. Late in the game all he had to do was look up and pass the ball to an unmarked player on the box and it was a sitter but he tried a shot that was never going to work. The only time i want to see him ever again is if we are losing and he is brought on for the last 10 minutes. I swear some of the horseshit on here i reckon is written by blades in disguise. Lincowl
Oh he didn't have the best of games on the left wing, who'd of thunk it eh? Jones has treated him in a disgraceful manner ever since he came in to obey the whims of Mr Mandaric. COG has been in the best form this season out of all our available striker options this season, that isn't isn't up for debate. FYI he saved us second half against Oldham (Including two goals nobody on here wants to have count), same against Derby, same against Millwall and he also played well in the Birmingham game before being unfairly dropped. barmyowl1212
This is a fact that people need to know! COG is not a championship player. technically doesn't have the ability. His shooting is abysmal he scored one lucky goal against Derby. We need someone that is going to score us 15 plus goals a season. COG is never going to do that. He is built for lower league football. Strong, can hold the ball up and put pressure on defenders. Against Championship defenders COG will struggle. Dave Jones finally gives him the start after all the fans moaning about him not playing and then gives a performance like that? Get f*cked. If that was Lucky then im the pope. Sonny
Patience appears to be too much for some. Jones is quickly becoming enemy number one for some, why be patient when you make digs on every thread you see. How quickly people forget and how slow they are to think. The worry is not just the six losses but also that the team spirit has evaporated and it almost seems that Jones is pin-sticking when picking the team at the moment. I hope for his sake and ours that he sorts it out quickly.

Guest theowls 93
People slating COG for yesterday's performance can't have gone. He was played in a system that surely can't suit him. If he played in JB role he would have been more effective, and that's what we saw when JB went off and COG went up top. DJ please play him in his position, and if in 3/4 games time he doesn't deliver then fair enough

It's obvious we can't find anyone stupid enough to buy him off us or he'd be long gone by now. We should loan him out to a 4th division side and pay his wages. At least then we wouldn't have to witness him running around bumping into people and we could use the shirt for a footballer.

Not entirely sure what system we played on Sat. Looked like a 4-4-1-1. But we did not have a good shape or balance to the team especially in midfield (the defence looked better). ---------------Kirkland-------------------- JJ--------Taylor--------Gardner-------Mattock ----Pecnic----Semedo----Bakley-----COG Antonio -----------------Bothroyd-----------------------
Beholder
Broadly speaking, the people who keep singing the praises of COG as our saviour seem to be the same people who want megson back and were very indignant about him being sacked.
