Personally i cannot wait to get out of the poo poo tip, but might interest a few of you.

A CATERER has signed a Championship deal to be involved in the new Blackpool FC development.

Paul Rowley has been appointed by the Seasiders to provide all the hospitality for the football club’s new Hotel and Conference Centre based in the south stand at Bloomfield Road.

Rowley’s will serve thousands of guests throughout next season’s Championship campaign as they overlook the south east corner of the famous stadium.

Mr Rowley told The Gazette: “We are delighted to be working with Blackpool FC and having been engaged to provide all the catering services in the new hotel. It is a real honour and we look forward to welcoming all our new guests very soon.

“It is a modern British menu with some international twists.

“We will be sourcing the best local and regional suppliers to provide the very highest quality and value for our guests.”

The 72 bedroom, four star hotel is due to be formally opened on July 26, but will be receiving guests from the end of the month.

Blackpool FC chairman Karl Oyston added: “It represents a huge investment for the club and we are delighted to welcome Paul and his team on board.

“He is a local guy who came very highly recommended and we had no hesitation in wanting to work with him on this fantastic project.

“The hotel will provide lots of additional jobs for people and demonstrates our continual commitment to the growth and development of the club and the town.”

We stayed in the Blue Hotel Blackpool just weeks after it opened...just in time to see tha most abysmal display from a wednesday team I've ever seen under Chris Turner as we got beat at Easter 2004...who flipping cares about the hotel..apart from those ground breaking blades

Do they do a good vindaloo?

Dont know but if its owt like the ground it will take around 30 minutes to check in, and the security will be very good at ejecting rowdy guests.
