Delusions of grandeur I'm afraid. We love this club, and we are the most attractive we have been to players in many a decade .... but that still doesn't mean we are everyones first choice. Sheffield Weds are a MASSIVE club, and maybe he simply preferred to move from the Midlands to Sheffield, rather than down to the South Coast. They think he moved for the money, which is ironic given their current "throw money at everything and everyone" attitude (£5mil for a centre back) and the fact that WBA are now a settled Premier League side. Whilst we didn't have a pot to p*ss in, the likes of Brighton had investment - yet were still playing at the same level as us for most of our years on the doldrums. This leads them to believe they are more attractive than us. Have to admit, they were more attractive when we couldn't even afford to pay a tax bill or when we had the old guard ruining us, but not any more.
