IstillhateSteveBould
Found this. List is dated 2008 though, and takes into account figures from 1899 ( i think that's what it said anyway.) Interesting to see actual figures and seems a good barometer for measuring the size of a club.
lowershiregreenowl
That average will increase in 2013 when we are in the premiership
31Dec1966
Leeds weren't formed until 1919 (Leeds City are also in the list) and were a nothing club until about 1964. Their figure looks high to me. Not disputing it as ours are about in line with the bible, just saying.

owler5
interesting statistics, especially if it says were better then the blunts, wish they could understand numbers so I could show them this. Would be interesting to see a later version.
KivoOwl
Hmmm, attendances pre-1924 were just guessed, so it's not a reliable table.

KivoOwl
Just totalled Wednesday's from 1925/26, when exact figures were first used. We average 23,808 since then. Pigs averaged 17,301 since then.

PeteG_1984
Interesting that the top 8 there was the top 8 in the prem this season.. And also interesting that our all time average is pretty close to the average attendance we got this season.

This proves all them idiots who bang on about a merger that a one club city won't guarantee anything different for Sheffield!

Guest Tim Sheffield
If you add the average crowd for Wednesday and United together, it is way above that of Manure. Considering the success they had since 1950, then we could become a super club if we merged and play in the Champions League every season. All the city behind one team, would move mountains.
