I can recall when it was a little wooden shed with windows, situated between the north stand and leppings lane, you could buy from the window at either side, mostly badges and stickers, scarfs and bobble hats match day programme or a pennant, back in the day before football got all commercialised with shirts every season and sponsors logos allover your pasty.

It was just a few yards up from the turnstiles as you entered either end,in between the railings,I bought a rattle from there one season,it flew out of my hand a few games later when Wednesday scored against Spurs, hit a bloke a few rows down right under his lughole, luckily the bloke saw the funny side, for him as well as my old fella was a proper hard bugger. It was one of the multi coloured small ones that were popular at that time, wooden all the same so it must have hurt WTF:

This is me and my brother (flanked by our Man Utd-supporting associates) outside the Owls Shop on our first trip to Hillsborough in the autumn of 1991 ... it was the 3-2 Jemson game, so not a bad first visit.

The five of us made up a hooligan firm that was feared up and down the land at the time.

The Sheffield Wednesday Club Shop

Can anyone remember how the old Sheffield Wednesday club shop at Hillsborough used to look ?

It was on the back of the South Stand with a counter straight in front of you as you walked in and drawers full of stuff to buy..

I definately don't remember this. It's way before my time. The photo is obviously in black and white, but I'm fairly certain that there is a lot of pink in that photo.

Or is it red? I'll have to zoom in.

That's my mum and grandma. My mum worked there for 49 years and was manager for more than a few years before she retired in 2016.

Also pleased to say that my grandma, Joan, is still going strong at 96 years old.

They've certainly got some stories to tell about their times there.

Evening mate. That's fantastic that your Grandma is still going strong and you have seen the photo of her and your Mum. As you say about their time there I reckon they could write a book.

Appreciate you posting that mate. I'll make sure they both see it.

And yes, there would be a good book in there 😁
