However he is as hampered by mental issues as any footballer in the league and we will do very well to sell him on for more than the £850k we paid Carlisle. Then Megson said Irvine spent £1.6m in transfer fees in the January transfer window. The maths adds up, given the fees of approx £150k for Reynolds, £200k for Morrison and £150k for Reda. Not good enough at the moment by a long shot. His is the sort of attitude I thought we were rid of. We've worked ourselves into second in the league and now all of a sudden players have decided they don't want it. They've bottled it. Not bothered.
