It's not just me who thinks Bennett can't defend. You think that Spurr can't defend. Where is he plying his trade now? He's at Donny, but we know from his time here, that he just couldn't cut it at this level, never mind FLC. Surely we wouldn't have let him go, if he was any good? I'm sure he's a nice lad and all that, but from all the times I saw him, he's incredibly slow, both pace wise and mentally. And for me he just hasn't developed on any further from a promising start a few years ago. Why that is I don't know, it could be Wednesdays fault or Tommy's, I don't have the answer to that. Obviously not too far from Fleetwood to travel to watch us at Preston. Jamie Vardy is an interesting one. Their chairman says they aren't selling him, but we know they would for a decent offer, and there have been dozens of clubs watching him for months, with us being one of them. The whole thing needs a fresh approach and personel or no-one will be coming through in 10 years time. Point is he was chased by more than one championship club and signed by one. Other point is that he was no longer suiting our style of play or situation but could get a 'better' gig elsewhere.
