Isn't there a salary cap coming in next season? If so what will the cap be? If it's above 5k would we have to sell players to comply? So it might be a good strategy

The wage cap isn't a true wage limit like in the NFL where each franchise must pay each type of player very precise figures, it just means you can only spend a certain % of your turnover in wages. Whilst this will be good for us (whilst in this particular division) its actually pretty unfair as it penalises small clubs who will never be able to pay the kind of wages to push on to a new level, even with a rich chairman, because they are held back by their short term crowds.

I'd actually favour a "tax" system as in baseball, where for every £1000 a club spends over the divisional wage limit, they have to put another £1000 back into grassroots footy or to distribut amongst the smaller clubs.

How exactly do you reach that conclusion?

One of the major problems with football in recent times is clubs living beyond their means.

Making sure clubs cannot spend more than they can afford is a sensible idea.
