edinburghowl
My first favourite player was Siggi Jonsson. After that my heroes were David Hirst, Nigel Pearson and Chris Waddle. I really feel for todays kids.

Guest macs1981
David Hirst, but never actually got to see him live. Always injured, i had his name on the back of my shirt when me old man took me to my first game. After that it was Paul Warhurst for being a revelation at centre forward, then Kevin pressman for that penalty against Wolves, still not seen a pen with a more angled run up and so close in the top corner, Different class! Those were the days when i used to watch teletext as well, anybody else do that!?
Guest frannys ears
For me it was Zico, used to fly down the wing, permed locks flowing behind him, winning penalties and scoring penalties. Hard as nails, would put the oppositions winger in row z . Oh yeah and a Wednesdayite through and through. We had a lot of great players after mel had gone, but i think your first childhood hero stays with you .
