St Johnstone manager.

Finished the job that Owen Coyle started and has done a remarkable job with them. Promoted them and kept them in the SPL with a very meagre budget. Burnley and West Brom have been linked with him in the past.

I'm surprised Paul Dickov's name isn't there. I don't suggest his name with particular enthusiasm, but it's a reflection of the scarcity of strong candidates. The case for him:

Oldham have got almost as many points this season, as they did during the whole of last term. He's got a young squad (Taylor, Stephens, etc) to overachieve, and used the loan market astutely (White and Tounkara). For me, this is the assignment for any manager of our club for the rest of the season.

Plus, love or hate his attitude, he conforms to the strong character that Mandaric appears to favour in a manager - Redknapp, Allen, Holloway, etc.
